JONAS STIRNER

Jonas have had the pleasure of working on a variety of art projects all over the world. In 1997 he began working with Robert Rauschenberg, which led to 15 years of exposure to the art world working with a famous international artist.

Jonas was based on Captiva Island in Florida where the bulk of art production occurred; he assisted in the creation, shipping, and exhibition of art work internationally. He had the good fortune to attend openings and assist in the installation of shows in the US, but also in Spain, Italy and France. During this period, Jonas exhibited his work with Rauschenberg in Florida and New York.

In 2012, Jonas became a self-sustaining artist working on his projects. He had his first museum show in 2015 at Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey.

Jonas also worked on lighting projects, including a 9 x 4-foot chandelier that hangs in a stairwell of a prominent beach house in Naples, Florida.

In September 2017, Jonas completed a 10-foot sculpture for the exterior entry of All Seasons of Naples, Florida. This work was delivered the highest level of engineered specs to meet Florida’s strict wind load codes. The sculpture was produced using the high-grade aluminum plate and powder coated for utmost durability.

Jonas is currently working on Public Sculptures located in Arizona as he has been selected among competing artists for two of four sculpture locations.  These are two 10-foot powder coated aluminum sculptures.

In November 2019, Jonas has decided to continue his father’s legacy at the Karl Stirner Arts Building in Easton where he opened Stirner Modern gallery. The gallery integrates avant-garde & experimental art with traditional work by regional and international artists.
